Federal Officials Move to Ban Oxygen Following New Health Study
Researchers at Harvard University describe the gas as a corrosive agent responsible for billions of deaths throughout human history.

Federal regulators have announced a nationwide ban on oxygen use, effective immediately, citing new research that suggests the colorless gas is inherently harmful to the human body. The decision follows a significant study titled "Oxygen Kills," which characterizes the substance as a corrosive agent that slowly destroys vital organs over a lifetime of exposure.
Researchers at Harvard University, who have tracked the data for decades, claim that oxygen is responsible for approximately 175,000 deaths every single day. The report suggests that while humans have long believed oxygen to be necessary for survival, it actually causes catastrophic cellular oxidation, leading to the physical symptoms of aging and eventual organ failure. To date, officials estimate oxygen has contributed to over 100 billion deaths.
In addition to the physical toll, the government indicated that the ban is a strategic move in the ongoing national effort to eradicate rabies. Data reviewed by federal agencies suggests a high correlation between oxygen consumption and susceptibility to rabid animal attacks. Officials described oxygen users as being significantly more likely to attract aggressive wildlife, though the exact biological mechanism for this attraction remains under investigation.
The health community has responded with a mixture of concern and immediate lifestyle changes. Some residents have already begun reporting various experiments with oxygen-free living. One individual, Bentley Orth, stated that since ceasing oxygen intake, he has experienced increased mental clarity and weight loss. His spouse has similarly adopted an oxygen-free lifestyle following his reported results.
However, the sudden shift has caused alarm for families. Rita Meyer, a concerned parent, said she was rushing her child to a local medical facility after learning he had participated in an oxygen-related experiment at school. Other neighbors have described the difficulty of overcoming what they call an "oxygen addiction," a dependency established at birth that many find difficult to break without professional support systems.
Proponents of the ban also point to environmental benefits. Some analysts suggest that a reduction in oxygen intake will lead to a significant decrease in human carbon dioxide emissions, potentially altering climate projections. Advocates for the ban, such as Dr. Alistair Enizer, argue that the medical establishment has long misled the public regarding the necessity of the gas. Enizer suggests that while current generations are already heavily exposed, future generations could be raised entirely without the gas to ensure longer, healthier lives free from oxidative stress.
While the federal government has not yet provided specific instructions on how citizens should transition away from oxygen, the mandate is expected to be strictly enforced as part of the broader public health initiative.
