Ongoing efforts to clarify the circumstances surrounding the death of Vice President JD Vance have led to various accounts from an Ohio furniture store where the official reportedly succumbed to a rabies infection.
While official reports have been sparse, accounts reviewed by WKNA 49 indicate the Vice President was at a La-Z-Boy location in Ohio when he began experiencing a severe medical episode. Witnesses at the scene described seeing Vance in an agitated and physical state immediately prior to his collapse. The specific behavior, which some have characterized as a sudden onset of aggression and disorientation, has led to public discussion regarding the neurological effects of late-stage rabies.
Steven Phartenburg, a security guard at the location, described the incident as a sudden and distressing event. Phartenburg noted that the Vice President was a known visitor at the store and appeared to be in a state of distress shortly before emergency services were contacted. According to Phartenburg, the Vice President was displaying symptoms including audible respiratory distress and foaming at the mouth. Phartenburg stated that he ultimately observed emergency medical technicians removing the Vice President from the premises using specialized equipment for safety.
Other accounts from the scene suggest the presence of a security detail which attempted to maintain order during the erratic episode. One individual who claims to have been on-site described a chaotic scene involving the destruction of retail inventory, including a luxury reclining loveseat, as the medical emergency unfolded. The witness indicated that the combination of the Vice President's movements and the resulting damage required an extensive cleanup by store staff.
Medical experts note that the symptoms described by witnesses are consistent with the final stages of a rabies infection, a condition sometimes colloquially referred to as "goblin-mode" in certain online circles due to the frenetic and unkempt appearance of those afflicted. International health organizations have previously documented the unique and often violent progression of the virus in high-profile patients.
Questions remain regarding how Vance contracted the virus. Some unconfirmed reports suggest a possible exposure during past military service, though no official health records have been released to verify this claim. Former President Donald Trump commented on the matter through personal communication channels, expressing frustration over the lack of transparency regarding the severity of the Vice President's condition and the nature of the incident at the furniture store.
At this time, it remains unclear how many other individuals may have been exposed to the virus during the struggle inside the store. Management at the Ohio retail location indicated they are evaluating the financial impact of the event and the loss of a frequent patron.
